Nanook’s Paw-spective

The Life of a Very Patient Husky

My human finally wised up and gave me my own space here. About time, honestly—I run this place. Well, mostly. I do have to put up with her. And let me tell you, she’s a lot. She calls me her emotional support, but honestly, I think it’s the other way around. I guess we both need each other. We have something important in common. We were both discarded by humans that we thought loved us. But….keeping her steady is a full-time job. I swear, if I took a day off, she’d probably wander into traffic while talking to herself and laughing at her own jokes.

And the weirdest part? Sometimes, for absolutely no reason at all, she blasts music and just starts dancing. Like, full-on, arms-flailing, spinning-in-circles dancing. It’s both horrifying and kind of impressive. I usually just watch from a safe distance—partly out of concern, partly because I know if I get too close, I’ll be pulled into the madness.

Lately, though, she’s been home with me all the time. Which is great—more belly rubs, more treats—but it also means constant supervision. And now, the big blue moving box is coming out again. I saw the signs the moment she started stuffing things into that giant rolling box. Yep. Another road trip.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good adventure. But this woman never slows down. One minute, I’m basking in the perfect sunbeam, and the next, she’s luring me into the Outback with promises of “new smells” and a “fun trip.”

Fun for her, maybe. We’ll see.
